Earlier, the Belarusian player said she wanted to retire from tennis.
Belarusian world No. 1 Arina Sobolenko said she sought help from a psychologist after being eliminated by Diana Schneider in the Roland Garros quarterfinals with a score of 6-3, 5-7, 0-6.
“We talked a lot with the team. I called a psychologist I’d worked with before. I just felt like I needed to discuss everything I’d been through over the last—I don’t even know how many years. It was really helpful. I’ve changed a lot, and now I’m trying a lot of new things. I think I need to understand what sometimes happens in those matches so I can move forward and avoid repeating such situations,” – Bounces quotes Sobolenko as saying.
As a reminder, she lost to Diana Schneider in the quarterfinals. Arina was so emotionally devastated that she admitted she wanted to quit tennis.
