Another Worker Dies At "Belaruskali"

The fourth in two months.

On August 17, at Mine No. 2 of the Soligorsk “Belaruskali” mining division, Dmitry Petrovich was injured when the roof of a mine tunnel collapsed during an inspection of the mining workings.

The victim was taken to the Soligorsk Central District Hospital, where he died.

A commission is investigating the circumstances and causes of the accident.

The previous incident at “Belaruskali” occurred on August 7. A worker was killed there. On June 15, while working at “Belaruskali,” 34-year-old Alexei Cherepok was killed—he was crushed by a loader. And just a few days before that, another worker at the plant was killed when a reinforced concrete door lintel he was installing collapsed.
