No official statements have been made yet.

In the Arsın district of the Turkish province of Trabzon, a drone crashed directly onto the grounds of the police headquarters.

This was reported by the mayor of Trabzon Ahmet Metin Genç.

An unusual incident occurred right on the grounds of one of the police stations in the Turkish province of Trabzon—a drone of unknown origin crashed there.

Local authorities have already confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries.

Little is known at this time. Law enforcement officials responded promptly to the situation and have stepped up security at the site, while investigators are trying to determine two key questions: exactly where the drone was flying from and what caused it to crash.

No official theories have been put forward yet.

This is not the first time that drones of unknown origin have been discovered on Turkish territory. Back in June, the sea washed an unidentified drone ashore on a Turkish beach; it had been in the water for a long time—the wreckage was then sent to Ankara for examination.

Even earlier, in February 2026, the Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed the discovery of a drone that, according to preliminary data, belonged to Russia.
