A Woman From Moscow: Belarusian Culture And Purity Are Sorely Lacking In Russia

A Russian woman compared the two countries.

A Moscow resident @splusha_varusha immediately noticed the difference between the mindset of Belarusians and that of her fellow Russians. She shared this on Threads.

“My ancestors are from Belarus,” the Russian woman writes. “I’ve only been there a couple of times, but I was so delighted by the people’s culture and their adherence to rules, cleanliness, and the orderliness everywhere!

I really miss that in my own country. In my immediate circle, all of that is present, but beyond it—there’s often arrogance, deliberate violations of rules and laws, a lack of manners, and so on. And yet my brothers are just like me.

Sometimes I think maybe it’s time to go back to my roots, to Belarus. Although I’d be even happier if this became the norm in Russia as well.”
