According to the source, Tkachuk did not have time to get into the car.

“He’s alive—he didn’t have time to get into the car. Doctors are now fighting to save his life,” the source said.

Following the explosion, investigators opened a criminal case under the article on attempted murder committed in a manner posing a danger to the public. Russian law enforcement agencies have not officially commented on the incident, citing the provisions of criminal procedure law.

According to URA.RU, Vladimir Tkachuk is the creator of the “Upyry” drone, whose assembly began in September 2022. He also heads the defense enterprise “UralDroneZavod.”

The “Upyr” drones are manufactured by a Russian company engaged in the development and mass production of strike FPV drones for the Russian Armed Forces. These drones are used to attack armored vehicles, fortifications, and personnel. According to Russian sources, Vladimir Tkachuk heads the production division of this project.
