One Of Wildberries' Largest Distribution Centers Was Attacked In The Tula Region

On the night of August 5, Russia’s Tula Region came under attack by Ukrainian drones and missiles. The missile alert lasted more than two hours, beginning at 00:34 Minsk time, while the UAV alert remained in effect from early evening until nearly 5:00 a.m.
The target of the attack was yet another Wildberries marketplace warehouse. This was reported by the monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+.
Results of the attack
According to preliminary reports, drones struck a Wildberries warehouse in the city of Aleksin, Tula Oblast. Around 3:30 a.m., footage of a massive fire at the logistics hub began circulating on social media. As revealed by the published videos and photos, a large Wildberries warehouse caught fire in the town of Aleksino. Following a series of explosions at the facility, a massive fire broke out, and footage of it is circulating online. Eyewitnesses online claim that the fire is visible from dozens of kilometers away. Thick black smoke also rose from the site.
The governor of the Tula Region Dmitry Milyaev claims that during the air raid alert, air defense units allegedly shot down 107 Ukrainian drones.
According to the official, damage was reported at two apartment buildings in the Venevsky District, as well as at two industrial facilities in Novomoskovsk and the Uzlovsky District.
In addition, the governor stated that “a UAV crashed” onto the grounds of the Wildberries sorting center, causing a fire. The official stated that fire crews were extinguishing the blaze and asked Russians not to take photos or videos at the scenes of the incidents, nor to publish or distribute them.
What is known about the facility
The Wildberries distribution center in Aleksin, Tula Region, is one of the company’s largest facilities and a key element of its logistics infrastructure. It covers an area of approximately 300,000 square meters.
The center was built to serve central Russia and reduce the load on logistics hubs near Moscow (Koledino, Podolsk, Elektrostal). The facility accepts shipments under both the FBO (sale from the marketplace’s warehouse) and FBS (sale from the seller’s warehouse) models.
