Cole: There's Nothing Concrete Yet Regarding Belarusian Potash

Trump had previously announced a deal with the Lukashenko regime regarding fertilizers.

Regarding the lack of specifics on shipments of Belarusian potash fertilizers to the U.S., the country’s Special Representative for Belarus John Cole stated in an interview with the Russian television channel “Dozhd”.

“We are discussing the issue of potash fertilizers and considering what can be done about it, <�…> but there is nothing concrete yet. However, the negotiations are moving in the right direction,” he said.

As previously reported by the Lithuanian President’s National Security Advisor Deividas Matulionis, the Baltic states are not making concessions to the U.S. regarding the transit of Belarusian potash fertilizers through their territories.

No EU member state “can be part of an agreement being negotiated by the U.S. on the import of Belarusian fertilizers,” Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated yesterday.
