Romania Was Attacked By An Unconventional Drone

According to preliminary data, the drone that crashed in a forest in Romania has technical specifications that differ somewhat from those of drones the Romanian military has encountered in the past.

This was stated by Acting Minister of Defense Radu Miruță during an appearance on digi24.

Miruță described the night of September 24 as tense in terms of the Romanian Army’s operations.

He explained that the drone was not shot down because “the necessary conditions were not met,” and the aircraft remained in the country’s airspace for only four minutes before crashing in a forest.

“We know that it flew through Romanian airspace for 4 minutes, coming from Ukraine. This time, it did not fly through Moldova; it entered from the north of the country, directly at the intersection of the national borders. It remained in Romanian airspace for 4 minutes. It crashed in an area where there is no risk to the public. Apparently, this is a drone with technical specifications that differ somewhat from those we have seen so far,” said Miruță.

According to him, the country’s Ministry of Defense extracts something it considers “interesting” from every drone it finds.

On the same day, in Moldova, near Florești, police discovered the wreckage of a drone that resembles a “Gerbera” in its specifications and was also equipped with a built-in camera.
