The UAE Announced The Suspension Of Air Service With Iran

Following Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The UAE General Directorate of Civil Aviation announced the suspension of air service with Iran effective September 24 until further notice. This was reported by the news agency UAE Barq.

The decision was made in response to a U.S. ban on Iranian airlines operating international flights. Following this, several countries, including Azerbaijan and Georgia, announced the suspension of air service with Iran.

Even before the official statement from the UAE authorities, Iranian media reported that many airlines from Turkey, the UAE, Europe, and several Arab countries had suspended flights to airports in Iran.
