40 long-term OSCE/ODIHR observers arrive in Belarus

The main group of long-term observers from OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) arrive in Belarus today.
“Some observers have already flied to Minsk, some will fly later. A total of 40 long-term observers from 18 countries are expected to come to Minsk,” BelaPAN learnt from Egor Tilpunov/b>, a media analyst at the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission.
The members of the OSCE/ODIHR mission are to start to monitor presidential elections in Belarus across the country on November 19.
14 experts of the OSCE/ODIHR arrived in Minsk earlier. About 400 people are expected to visit Belarus for short-term observation ahead the election day.
We remind that registration of presidential candidates will be held on November 18.
The election of president of Belarus is scheduled for December 19.
