Policemen testifying under oath told lies and masqueraded under assumed names

Journalists have found out that during the trials over the participants of December 19 events the key witnesses secrete their real personal details.

During the trial over Dzmitry Myadzvedz, Judge of Maskouski district Alena Rudnitskaya did not check passports of the “injured policemen” and asked no questions about their education.

Under the requirements of the Code of Criminal Procedure, a witness must tell the address he is living and registered; education and the place of work. Additionally, the judge checks the identity with the help of the passport.

The Belsat tried to correct the mistake of the Belarusian justice and find the “victims” with the help of Beltelecom inquiry service. It turned out that different people live at those addresses.

For instance, a policeman who was promoted after the events on the Square, and who is a commander of the special tasks platoon of the regiment of the Internal Affairs department of Minsk city executive committee now, Yury Dalidovich, told that he lives in N. Arda Street.

The service “109” informed the Belsat reporter that the phone is registered to a different person. The journalist reached the owner of the flat on the phone: “Neither Yury Davidovich nor Dalidovich have ever lived here.” (A mistake is possible as the “injured” policeman tell his personal details quickly and in a low voice). The same story was with policemen Volkau, Kashtalanau, Palavinka, Perapejka and Lepesh.

Before they started testimony, the judge warned the “victims” that perjury is punished under the law. Under Article 401 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, perjury is fined or punished by correctional labour for up to two years, or arrest for a term for up to 6 months, or restriction of freedom for up to two years.
