Car confiscation law will not concern drunk officials?

The draft law on confiscation of cars from drunk officials has been send to Lukashenka’s administration for approval again.

The corrected draft of the law on confiscation of cars from drunk drivers has been sent by Prosecutor General’s office for final approval to Lukashenka’s administration.

“There were remarks on it – on the confiscation of state-owned cars, they stumbled a bit on that. But now all the harmonization has been made and it is sent again to the administration”, - the head of the Prosecutor General office’s press-service Piotr Kisialou told Euroradio.

The interlocutor is sure: they will not take long approving the draft law at Lukashenka’s administration. The problem of drunk drivers is very urgent for our country today. And after this last approval the document will be sent to the House of Representatives. But Piotr Kisialou does not know whether the draft law will be publicly discussed. It will depend on the members of parliament.

We would remind that the Prosecutor General’s office suggested to toughen the punishment for the people driving drunk. It is assumed that cars will be confiscated from drunk drivers.
