Myasnikovich urged Belmedpreparaty to increase export up to 70%

Belarus’ Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich urged Belmedpreparaty to increase the export of products up to 70%.

The Prime Minister visited the company on 2 August, BelTA learned.

The company exports about 32% of the total output. Taking into account the existing capacities, the main task for the company for today, according to General Director of Belmedpreparaty Viktor Zalessky, is to satisfy the domestic demand. The company is also working to increase the share of exports.

Viktor Zalessky informed the Prime Minister that the company imports about 70% of raw materials and component materials. “In this case you need to export 70% of the output,” stressed the head of government.

The company hopes the share of exports will increase as new facilities come on stream, Viktor Zalessky told reporters. According to him, the company places its principal focus on innovation activities, upgrade of the existing manufacturing facilities and a number of investment projects to set up modern manufacturing facilities complaint with GMP requirements. The range of medications produced by the company is regularly renewed. Today the company produces 369 descriptions of medicines of various types. They include antimicrobial, antituberculous, antitumor and antiviral agents, medications to treat vascular heart diseases and many others.

Over 50 types of pharmaceutical drugs are made using domestic materials. Substances that have to be imported are purchased from the leading foreign producers.

The quality management system introduced in the company covers all the stages of the manufacturing process, which guarantees high quality of products.

Founded in 1929, Belmedpreparaty is one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in Belarus.
