Ukraine Resumes Reverse Gas Supplies from Poland

Natural gas imports from Poland have been resumed by Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reported with reference to a statement by a spokesperson of Ukraine's gas transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz, Maksym Beliavskiy.

"This morning a request has been received for gas imports from Poland in the amount of 0.3 million cubic meters," he said.

Previously, Ukrtransgaz and Polish transmission system operator Gaz-System signed a cooperation agreement to develop a pilot project for setting up transmission capacity auctions on the Polish-Ukrainian border to be held on the basis of Gaz-System auctions platform.

Gas supplies from Poland to Ukraine are carried out from Germanovitse gas metering station (Poland).

Ukraine earlier suspended gas imports from Poland on May 2015.
