The activist of the Independent Trade Union of the Radio-Electronic Industry Workers has just been released after a 10-day detention.

Activist of the Independent Trade Union of the Radio-Electronic Industry Workers Andrei Stryzhak was sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention in absentia , for the “non-sanctioned demonstration” – a spontaneous gathering on the porch of the Central district court in Homel on February 21, Radio Liberty reports.

Andrei Stryzhak was detained on April 14 after he had crossed the Lithuanian-Belarusian border on his way home from a business trip. However, he was released soon.

Andrei Stryzhak had to address to the court himself in order to be directed to serve his administrative punishment.
