What's St. Dymphna's Disease for?

Belarusian guests are extremely weird.

At any moment they can have everything mixed up and act as hosts. Last week a video appeared on the Internet: a column of armored personnel carriers were driving across Brest. There were people in masks and in Russian camouflage. Either the Martians or the green men. Those who previously snatched the Crimea of our southern neighbors.

Why did they arrive in the city? Why did they wear masks? Did they just take advantage of a short break in military affairs and rush to sell vodka? Why did they wear masks then? To make a saleswoman scared? I don't think so. It looks like the practicality of their high command surfaced: they accustom an inhabitant to an inevitable presence of green men. Not to make people avoid them like a leper. They came with best intentions - to protect Belarusians from Polish supermarkets and Western plagues. And military environment requires masks. Why is a ground for discontent and resentment? Allies! ..

A column of old armored personnel carriers has directed from Smolensk to Brest. Everything is clear: as soon as June 22 is about to come local authorities suffer a military hysteria attack. They want to be proud. There were some mistakes in 1941, of course. But we defeated them!.. Is there anyone who doubt our military power? Let him look at the parade of winners then. It is notable that it almost coincides with this June date. A dozen days more and boots of Pskov, Ryazan and other paratroopers will march in Minsk. Tanks will press the compliance asphalt. This is we and Russia. As it is said in one trench. To rush with grenades on foe tanks. And to hide in dugouts.

It is still an eternity until those large-scale September exercises to come. So what is the reason of this military St. Dymphna's disease? Not only the unprecedented power will be demonstrated to looky-loos on July parade, since April trainings of Russian soldiers have been conducted with little breaks on our territory. It happens with the assistance of an entire complex of some accompanying undertakings.

Bomb technicians of a militant neighbor without waiting for September to come build pontoon ferries upon Dnieper near Mahilyou. This is the right place, isn't it? There are no rivers in Russia, of course. And the population there goes angry. And you're welcome here! All roads are free for our guests! Occupation? Borders? Everyting around here belongs to collective farms here. Have fun!

And they have. Almost the entire Russian landing force has recently traveled all border areas in the Brest region. They exercised a breakthrough to the Kaliningrad region through the Suwalk corridor and a nuclear attack on Warsaw. Does Belarus needs these foreign, imperial adventures? Will it make it more authoritative in Europe or in the world?

The Brest training ground near the western border has a dark corner with a constant presence of Russian paratroopers. And now the Serbs are involved. The "Slavic Brotherhood"! I only wonder why our country should be involved in these foreign and too dangerous games.

This year it is planned to hold five joint military exercises with Russia in Belarus. As if those large-scale September ones are not enough. With maniacal perseverance they try to smash not just a conventional enemy, but also some terrorists at their maneuvers. It was the same last year. And not the same subtle enemy emerges in joint plans. Perhaps these are the same evil creatures ironclad Frau A. informed about the local leadership in such a timely manner. Our, so to speak, restless citizen Tsimashuk. Has her doing been marked with a high reward as it used to be in unforgettable Stalin times? There are a lot of similar things. A gentleman in power usually pays to a lady.

It's not easy to live in modern Belarus. As one high-ranking officer noted "enemies are everywhere around." There are lots of horror stories a vigilant Frau warn us about, in addition the ruler personally revealed another threat and immediately informed Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member-countries. They meet here, in Minsk, at the most crucial point. It is not for nothing. It turns out that a terrible threat has appeared on the other side of the border: "I don't mean the army. But there are the most modern unmanned aerial vehicles. When I saw pictures of these drones ... They are huge, like real planes".

What a horror, if you think about it! We are building a glorious future, planting gardens here. And a volatile area is maturing in a strategic proximity to Drazdy. It is a piece of luck that the authority of our government is highly respected in the near and not-so-near abroad. Well-wishers immediately warned of an impending catastrophe. They sent these ominous pictures. And it is not known what other intrigues our potential enemy is plotting.

And it may turn out that the Russian army will be not enough to repel all these very real threats. It is possible that it will be necessary to remember old adherents - fighters of North Korea - for complete certainty. And there we can observe the Arab sheiks with fighting camels - they have their interest in Troitskaya here. There is nothing wrong. We can stand together.

But debates do not stop over upcoming September. What will happen after those odious exercises? Will foreign troops leave for the places of their permanent deployment or will they remain to protect the Belarusians from evil and predatory NATO birds so similar to large aircraft? It does not make any sense to discuss the problem of the Brest corner with the constant presence of alien paratroopers. Will many things change even if maneuvers are over and troops allegedly leave?

The same regime will remain. As well as the same system of severe authoritarian power and morbid fears. And we have Russia with its indomitable imperial ambitions nearby. Presidential elections are already scheduled there in March 2018. Oil prices are declining. There is a money crunch. Therefore, at least one more Crimea is needed to maintain the high authority of the main candidate for the presidency. And where can he get it? The Ukrainian direction is not a variant - it can fight back. And the Brest corner is the best option then.

However, it's too rude and wild to let troops stay after the military trainings are over. And life is complex and wide. And even such a strong man as a local ruler may suddenly fall sick one day. Or he will suddenly imagine NATO drones near Drazdy. In general, emergency assistance may be required.

And then one can hurry up to the friend and the ally in full compliance with the treaty obligations. To surely protect the offended ruler. And then comes a reliable formula - intentions are as clear as mountain air!

However, there is still time to think. Not about military exercises West-2017. But about wasted 23 years. About the ridiculous situation we all so lightly have agreed to live in. About the way out we are all aware of. And if this is not possible, then at least consider together with the ruler of ominous drones which are so similar to large aircraft.
