Are Schools To Become Self-Financing?

The government increased teachers' salaries with the extrabudgetary funds.

The government made adjustments to the pedagogical workers’ salaries at the expense of extra-budgetary funds from the income-generating activities. The corresponding decision is written in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 530of July 14, 2017, the government website reports.

According to the document, the state educational institutions that implement educational programs for additional education on a fee basis, when paying the salary to the pedagogical workers (except for the administration) participating in the implementation of these educational programs, can use the extrabudgetary funds, received from this activity, on the first tariff rate, in the amount not exceeding twice the size of the first tariff rate, for the payment of labor of employees of budget organizations and other bodies, which receive subsidies and which employees are equal in wages to employees of budgetary organizations.

The first tariff rate, determined by the state educational institution in the amount, stipulated by the resolution, is subject to agreement with the state agency, in charge of which the given educational institution is found (with the founder).
