The Republican senator expressed solidarity with the people of Belarus.
Republican Senator John McCain congratulated the Belarusians on the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the BPR.
"On the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Belarus declaring its independence, I stand with the Belarusian people who yearn to live for freedom & independence as they were promised a century ago," John McCain wrote on his Twitter page.
