NYT: Naryshkin Told CIA Director That Putin Doesn't Care About How Many Soldiers He Loses

The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation met with William Burns in Turkey.

Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, at a meeting with the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency William Burns, told him that the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not consider the losses among his army. This is reported in the material of the newspaper The New York Times with a reference to unnamed officials in Washington.

The publication reports that during a meeting in Turkey in November, Burns and Naryshkin asked to resume direct personal communication between Washington and Moscow, but it’s tone was not the one of reconciliation.

Senior US officials who attended the meeting said that Naryshkin said that Russia “will never surrender, no matter how many soldiers it loses on the battlefield.”
