Ukrainians Shoot Down a Large Number of Russian Aircraft Systems and Missiles Over Kyiv

Twice in its history, the Ukrainian capital has experienced bombings of this kind.

Objects of strategic importance are targets for Russia, said advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak, reports gordonua.com.

" The enemy continued airstrikes on different territories and cities of our state from 4 a.m. today. In particular, Kyiv is under attack. Twice in history, our capital has experienced a bombing of this kind. As well as in 1941, the aggressor can now only get the hatred of the people and nothing more. Our air defence forces shot down some aircraft systems and missiles over the capital. The targets for Russia are not only military and other facilities of strategic importance. Residential and social infrastructure is also under attack. The consequences of the strikes and falling pieces are being promptly removed. We stress the need for citizens to take shelter while the air raid continues," Podolyak stressed.

On February 25, a Russian aircraft was shot down at 4:20 over Kyiv. Its fragments hit a residential building. The building was damaged, and there is a threat of collapse.
