Chaos has broken out at the airports.

On the night of October 30, nearly 900 drones attacked Moscow. Flight restrictions were imposed at airports, and flights were diverted to alternate airports, according to RBC.

“Between 8:30 p.m. on October 29 and 7:30 a.m. on October 30, 862 UAVs were flying toward the Moscow region. Most of them were destroyed by the Ministry of Defense’s air defense forces at the outer perimeter. 170 drones were neutralized as they approached Moscow,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Russian media report that this attack was one of the largest in at least the past two years.

Amid the attack at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Sheremetyevo, restrictions were imposed on aircraft arrivals and departures. Night flights were canceled, including those to Minsk.

More than 20 flights bound for Moscow were diverted to alternate airports, while two others returned to their airports of departure. The planes landed, in particular, in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Minsk, and Yaroslavl.
