Canada Banned Entry to 50 Associates of the Lukashenka Regime

The restrictions also apply to all family members accompanying persons on the sanctions list.

Canada has announced a strengthening of its sanctions. According to a government release, all individuals on the Canadian sanctions list, including citizens of Russia and Belarus, will be subject to a ban on entry to Canada and a visa ban.

These amendments will also apply to all family members accompanying persons on the sanctions list. There are, by the way, 780 people from Russia, including the president and foreign minister, 208 from Ukraine, and only 50 from Belarus. These are oligarchs linked to Lukashenka, officials and politicians, and representatives of the Belarusian Defence Ministry who facilitated the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
