The publication, citing analysts, notes that Putin is ready to punish those who criticize the war in Ukraine, but he himself, apparently, does not understand what to do next.

Journalists cite the head of the political consulting company R. Politik, Tatiana Stanovaya, who said that Putin is "stuck between two worlds" because he can neither crush Ukraine nor retreat with his reputation intact.

“Everyone has already forgotten that Putin was once called a president of half-measures. Of course, everyone is unhappy,” she said.

Journalists write that in Russia for the criticism of the so-called “special military operation” it is possible to be imprisoned for up to 15 years, but dissatisfaction with the war, which lasts already the fourth month, “disapproval is increasingly bubbling to the surface”. Both the so-called "war hawks" and those who do not want to participate in the bloodshed began to criticize Putin.

Significant losses of the invaders in the war against Ukraine further aggravate the position of the head of the Kremlin.
