Bus With Belarusian Tourists Heading To St. Petersburg Drives Into Bushes

It is reported that it was a miracle that the passengers are alive.

One of the readers told Onlíner how an ordinary tourist trip from Minsk to St. Petersburg turned into an accident. The bus with passengers was in a ditch. No one was seriously injured, but it's possible to imagine how the passengers felt at that moment.

According to the reader, the accident occurred in the morning on August 12.

- We were driving from Minsk to St. Petersburg. We crossed the border with Russia at about 2-3 am. The passengers were asleep. Then everyone woke up because the bus was shaking. It was about 5 or 6 in the morning. The driver either fell asleep or tried to passing. In general, we drove into a ditch. The miracle saved passengers: the bushes, the trees recently cut down, says the interlocutor.

The bus did not overturn but only leaned.

- When we realized the bus had stopped. They opened the doors and everyone got out. Everyone had only bruises. Half an hour later, we began to get our things. Our guide contacted the tour operator. While we were waiting, other buses and vans stopped and offered help. After a while, two buses gave us a lift to the filling station in Pskov (about 25 km), added our reader.

He says rescuers arrived and learned the passengers' health state.

- Three hours later, the tour operator found an old bus, which took us from Pskov to Saint-Petersburg (with failures). The bus was replaced for a good one in St. Petersburg, a reader says.

He does not raise any complaints against the organizers of the trip.

- The travel agency did everything possible in quite a short time - well done. However, the disappointment remained. Most passengers were afraid of any sudden maneuver, any shaking until the end of the trip, said the interlocutor.
