Media: There Are Several Scenarios Regarding EU Sanctions Against Belarusian Regime

The European Commission has begun their discussion.
Today, the European Commission began consultations with the ambassadors of the EU countries not only on the 10th package of sanctions against Russia, but also on sanctions against the Lukashenka regime, Polish media RMF FM reports, citing sources.
As the newspaper notes, there is more and more disturbing information about the role of Belarus in the war. In the European Commission, the options for sanctions against Belarus being considered range from separate sectoral sanctions through filling gaps in existing restrictions (for example, against banks) to completely equating sanctions against Belarus with those against Russia.
The most likely scenario, according to the Polish publication, is a complete embargo on the supply of weapons and dual-use equipment. There are fears that Belarus is importing from the EU, for example, elements of medical equipment, which are then supplied to factories producing, for example, drones. Today, Belarus can import certain weapons components from the West and then transfer them to Russia.
Also mentioned is a ban on exports from the EU to Belarus of electronics, household appliances and luxury goods, which Belarus still imports from the West, and then Russians can buy them and thus circumvent sanctions.
The Polish media claims that the European Commission assures that sanctions will also be imposed against Belarusian banks that help Russians circumvent sanctions.
