Heavenly Punishment: Moscow Hit By Biggest Snowfall In 150 Years

The consequences of Cyclone Vanya were shown on video.

The capital of Russia, Moscow, was covered by the heaviest snowfall in the last 150 years. In just one day, the metropolis received two weeks' worth of precipitation — hundreds of tons of snow.

The consequences of the bad weather were shown by Russian media.

The cause of heavy snowfall was Cyclone Vanya.

Currently, Moscow utility workers are clearing snow-covered streets around the clock; special crews of road workers and tow trucks are running throughout the city. They help stranded drivers get out of snowdrifts. In some places they are covered with snow literally in a matter of minutes.

For example, in just one night from December 14 to 15, one and a half road workers crews helped pull out 63 trucks, which find it especially difficult to move in such conditions.
