Military Searching Cars On Bridges Across Prypiats

Perhaps they are looking for a "saboteur".

Selective inspection of cars is being carried out on bridges across the Prypiats River in Mazyr, as well as in Lelchytsy, reports the Homel-based publication of Flagshtok.

"The military along with the traffic police have been standing all night and are now stopping and searching cars they don't like. The traffic jam on the old bridge over the Prypiats River stretches for several kilometres," a resident of Kalinkavichy district told the publication.

Yesterday the district police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a wanted notice about a man who "had committed a particular serious crime in Machulishchy.

It is not known whether the search for the man has anything to do with yesterday's incident at the airfield in Machulishchy.

As Charter97.org wrote, on February 26, several explosions occurred at the Machulishchy military airfield near Minsk. Telegram channels write that at 9 a.m. drones attacked a Russian A-50 airborne radar aircraft.

The two explosions damaged the front and centre of the plane, damaging the avionics and radar antenna. Belarusian partisans claimed responsibility for the attack on the aircraft.
