The liquidated man had a Russian passport.
Belarusian state TV showed the moment of liquidating the foreigner in Hrodna. The report said that the man was Aleksei Lomakin, a Russian, who had been brought to Belarus from Poland.
The law enforcers claim that the documents are forged.
As Charter97.org wrote, on March 19, explosions and gunfire were heard in Hrodna, there were reports of arrests. Later, KGB reported on the "elimination of a foreigner," who, according to the security forces, had been planning a terrorist attack and resisted "using automatic weapons and military grenades".
In the evening the police and demining services with dogs arrived to the house of Uladzimir Karanik, chairman of Hrodna Regional Executive Committee.
