Commander Of AFU Joint Forces Arrives At Border With Belarus

The Ukrainian military is preparing for an “adequate response” to an attack from the north.

Russia continues to keep its grouping in Belarus. The estimated number of enemy air groupings and ground troops in this direction is up to 2,500 people. This was stated by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Naev.

“An aviation group and a group of ground forces of the Russian Federation are still located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. But we analyze each air strike in detail and take measures to prevent successful actions by hostile forces,” the Ukrainian general said.

There are up to 17 thousand Russian soldiers on the territory of the Kursk and Bryansk regions of Russia bordering Ukraine.

“As of today, there is no threat of ground offensive operations either from the territory of Belarus or from the territory of the Kursk and Bryansk regions. But this does not mean that we will sit idly by. We work every day to strengthen our defense and do everything to be ready for an adequate response,” the commander said.
