Shuster: China May Hit Putin On His Head With Pogozhin Sledgehammer

Beijing has strong arguments for stopping the war in Ukraine.

China is capable of convincing Russia to stop its war in Ukraine. Such an opinion was expressed by TV presenter Savik Shuster in an interview with the editor-in-chief of gordonua.com, Alesa Batzman.

"Can China stop the war in one swoop? I think by and large it could. Not like [in 1960, First Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Nikita] Khrushchev with his boot on the podium of the United Nations, but with its fist on the table, something like that," the journalist suggested.

"Better with the fist on the head of [Russian occupying country president Vladimir] Putin, something like that," Batzman suggested.

Shuster continued the thought.

"Yes, with a Prigozhin sledgehammer [on Putin's head]. I think China can [stop the war]," he stated.

The TV host stressed that he was discussing this possibility on a feeling level.

"What goes on behind the scenes and under those carpets is very difficult to know. But I think today's China [can force the Russian Federation to end the war in Ukraine] and [the determining factor is] how much Russia depends on it - and it depends completely, absolutely... If there is no China, Russia dies a slow and painful death. China could, if it wanted to," Shuster concluded.
