On June 21, the Vitebsk District Court convicted political prisoner Kanstantsin Stupnikau under Part 1 of Art. 368 (“insulting Lukashenka”) of the Criminal Code. Judge Mikhail Zubenia sentenced Konstantin to two years in a medium-security penal colony, human rights activists write.

It is reported that on April 25, 2023, Kanstantsin “expressed obscene language towards Lukashenka” in the presence of policemen. Kanstantsin was held in custody until the trial.

Kanstantsin is 28 years old. He is married. He was working as an operator-adjuster and was habitually resident in Moscow.
