ISW: 'Akhmat' Fighters Flee From Klishchiivka Centre

ISW: 'Akhmat' Fighters Flee From Klishchiivka Centre

The AFU have significantly advanced in the Bakhmut direction.

In the course of counter-offensive actions, the Ukrainian defenders advanced on the Bakhmut direction.

Geolocation footage from September 11 and 12 showed the AFU advances north of Kurdyumivka and southwest of Mayorsk.

Ukraine's General Staff said the AFU continued its counter-offensive and had success south of Bakhmut.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) outlined the picture of the fighting on this section of the front over the past 24 hours.

The Prigozhin 2023 Z-public page reports that the Ukrainian defenders are already in the centre of Klishchiivka, where the Akhmat units of the "Kadyrovtsy" forces used to be.

At the same time, the Russian Defence Ministry says that the Russian army has repelled AFU strikes near Mayorsk and west of Andriivka.

The Readovka public page assures that the AFU is in Andriivka itself, although the village is still under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.

On the previous day, the Russian army tried to counterattack the AFU in the vicinity of Orikhiv-Vasylivka and Klishchiivka. Russian public pages also write about attacks by the Russian Armed Forces near Kurdyumivka.

Chechen head Kadyrov said that his mercenaries are fighting around Klishchiivka and Kurdyumivka. These settlements need to be defended so that the AFU do not encircle Bakhmut.

Propaganda public pages write that occupants from "St Petersburg", "Georgiy" and the 137th Airborne Regiment are also in that area.
