Zelensky Meets With NATO Secretary General In Davos

What did they discuss?
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg as part of his visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos in Switzerland. The head of the Ukrainian state announced this on January 16 in Telegram.
“I started my work in Davos with a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. We discussed many important issues,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to the head of the country, in a conversation with the Secretary General of the Alliance, the following issues were discussed:
the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine;
defense needs of the state;
further strengthening of the air defense system;
preparations for the next NATO summit in Washington;
working with partners on bilateral security agreements within the framework of the G7 declaration, which will be in force until Ukraine joins NATO.
“Thank you for the steady support of our state in defending against Russian invasion,” added the head of the Ukrainian state.
In addition, the Office of the President of Ukraine added that Zelensky informed Stoltenberg about the massive Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities that had occurred recently.
Also noted at the meeting was the importance of signing a bilateral Security Cooperation Agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain within the framework of the G7 Joint Declaration adopted at the previous NATO summit in Vilnius.
“The President spoke about continuing work on similar documents with other partners and emphasized the importance of urgently signing such agreements that will be in force until Ukraine joins NATO,” Zelensky’s press service said.
Important to note, on Monday, January 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived on a working visit to Switzerland.
