Zelensky Is Called To Award Deceased Belarusian With Hero Of Ukraine Title

25,000 votes, the necessary number, were collected on the website of the Ukrainian president for the petition for the awarding of the title of Hero of Ukraine to the deceased Belarusian volunteer Zmitser Rubasheuski. Zmitser "Hans" Rubasheuski was killed on April 12, 2022, in battles with the Russian occupiers in the Luhansk region.

He was 30 years old. He was a fighter of the 24th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Belarusian has already been posthumously awarded the Order For Courage of the III degree.

Zmitser Rubasheuski was born in Brest. He’d been fighting in Ukraine since 2015 and he had several wounds. In 2019, he lost his eye in battle. After the injury, he was cared for by the sister of the deceased comrade. Later she became his wife, the couple had a daughter. Rubasheuski lived in the Lviv region.

The initiators of the petition addressed the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. They also ask to award the title of Hero of Ukraine to the deceased Belarusian volunteer Eduard Lobau. But the necessary number of votes has not yet been collected.
