A resident of Karelia katerinchukolia visited the capital of Belarus and shared her impressions on Threads.

“The trip to Minsk was a total disappointment—there’s nothing to see, the food isn’t to my taste, and there aren’t many stores left either,” she wrote.

Belarusians appreciated the frankness of the visitor from the neighboring country and suggested places she might like better. The website Charter97.org shares some of the comments:
— Dear Ekaterina, why not explore some new areas in your own country? I think you’ll like them better. There’s plenty of action there, authentic local cuisine, and plenty to see—and maybe you’ll even get to participate in some interactive activities.

— They say there’s plenty to see in Moscow and the food is delicious. Go there.

— What do you think of hot countries? They say Afghanistan is beautiful.

— Why go to Minsk? They’ve already liberated Bakhmut and Avdiivka. Enjoy the liberated territories.

— I completely agree. Pack your bags, head to the train station, and have a safe trip.

— We really hope that the rest of your country’s citizens won’t like it here either! Please tell all your fellow citizens how bad things are here! We’ll be very grateful to you for that.

— Turn around and go home. And tell your people that it’s better not to come here.

— Minsk is such a beautiful, interesting, cultured, and self-sufficient city that it decides for itself who likes it and who doesn’t.
