The invaders have gone on the defensive.

The Russian occupiers’ plan to capture Kramatorsk and Slavyansk has been completely thwarted by Ukrainian forces. The invaders have gone on the defensive. This was stated by the deputy commander of the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Zhorin.

According to the Ukrainian military official, the Russians had hoped to encircle the cities in a “pincer movement.” However, during Operation “Vivaldi,” one of these “pincer movements” was completely destroyed.

“This allowed us not only to halt the enemy’s advance but also to repel them. Now, within the area of responsibility of our units, the Russians are no longer thinking about offensive operations but only about defense,” Zhorin noted.

He added that the actions of Ukrainian forces have forced the enemy to attempt to stabilize and hold their existing positions.

“Clearly, we have dealt them a serious psychological blow, which we can see in the hysterical reactions of various ‘Z-bloggers,’” the military official emphasized.
