New Explosion At Airfield In Russia's Morozovsk

The story with a drone raid on the military airfield in the Russian town of Morozovsk has been continued. One of the UAVs, which did not explode during the attack, detonated during "investigative actions".

This was first reported by Fighterbomber, a Z-channel associated with the Russian military aviation. Later the information was officially confirmed by the Governor of Rostov region Vasily Golubev, reports "Dialogue".

The incident occurred around noon on Friday, April 5.

"About an hour ago, while demining and performing investigative actions with a UAV that fell on the airfield, there occurred an explosion. There are casualties," the Russian Z-blogger wrote.

He specified that this is the third case when a Ukrainian drone explodes with a delay when Russian security forces are crowding around it.

According to Governor Golubev, 8 Russian security forces were injured during the detonation. There is no information about their condition.

"As a result of (...) detonation of the explosive device on one of the fallen UAVs, eight people were injured, according to preliminary data. They were conducting investigative actions at the site of the fall of the drones," the Russian official said.

He specified that additional medical teams have been sent to the Russian city of Morozovsk on an emergency basis. This indicates that the injured are probably in serious condition.
