Gazprom's Stock Price Plummeted To A Record Low

On Monday, June 22, Gazprom shares plummeted by 4.4% at their low, with the company’s share price falling to ₽99.9 per share, according to data from the Moscow Exchange. The last time the share price fell below the ₽100 mark was on January 23, 2009.

Gazprom’s share price has been falling for the fifth consecutive trading session, reports RBC.
“The stock market remains under pressure. There is an increasing amount of negative geopolitical news. In my view, this is one of the main problems,” says Yaroslav Kabakov, Director of Strategy at Finam Financial Group .

On Monday, the Moscow Exchange Index fell 3.73% to a low of 2,330.2 points, while the RTS Index plummeted below 1,000 points for the first time in six months. Selling pressure is sweeping across the entire market; only a few stocks are trading in positive territory.
