People online have come to the defense of the Belarusian women.

A Russian man managed to insult not only Belarus but also its female residents in a single post. The author of the short Threads post used the incorrect name for our country four times—in every sentence.

“Two years ago, I moved to Belarus permanently,” writes _hasmarnocar_. “I love walking around Minsk, and most young women dress as if they’re wearing secondhand clothes—it’s painful to even look at. If you meet a decently dressed woman, she’s usually not from Belarus. Women of Belarus, do you have a problem with style or money?”

Belarusians responded to the offensive post. The website Charter97.org shares some of the comments:
— Our brains are just fine. That’s exactly why the locals are giving you the cold shoulder.

— Go to Russia; everyone there is stylish.
