Crimea Was Attacked With 20 Missiles: Belbek Airbase Covered With Fires

Powerful explosions rocked Sevastopol, Simferopol, Bakhchisarai and Evpatoria.

On the night of Wednesday, May 15, a series of explosions was heard in occupied Crimea.

It was restless in Sevastopol, Simferopol, Bakhchisarai and Evpatoria, and a missile threat was declared on the peninsula.

Local residents say that at least 20 missiles were fired against temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel.

"The whole of Simferopol woke up from the roar", "Air defence is working in Crimea. It's very loud in Simferopol!", "Evpatoria. More than 20 explosions", "Windows are strongly shaking," – local residents report.

According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, there were missile strikes at the objects of the occupiers in Yevpatoria. Local "authorities" have not yet commented on the situation there.

Sevastopol

The so-called governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that Russian air defense allegedly shot down several missiles over the water area and near the Belbek airfield.

"All city services are put on alert. The Sevastopol Rescue Service extinguished the fire from fallen fragments near the village of Polyushko. Damage to civilian infrastructure has not been recorded at the moment," he wrote.

Razvozhaev added that in the area of Fedorovskaya Street, fragments of the downed missile fell in the private sector.

The type of downed missiles is being specified, it is possible to detect non-detonated submunitions.

"Crimeans! There will be a lot of unexploded clusters in the morning. Keep off. Call 112 immediately upon detection," the occupiers wrote after the explosions.
