Unidentified Men Attack French Government Spokesperson Near Paris

Two of her aides were hospitalised.

A group of people attacked French government spokesperson Prisca Thévenot and three of her aides. The incident took place in the commune of Medon-la-Foret, south-west of Paris.

This was reported by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal on Х.

"Today (July 3. - ed.) evening, candidate Prisca Thévenot and members of her campaign team were attacked by four people in Medon while they were putting up election posters," he wrote.

The prime minister condemned the attack and called for an end to violence and hatred.

According to BFMTV, around 15 people took part in the attack. According to Le Parisien, five people attacked Thévenot and her aides, with two aides to the government spokesman hospitalised.

Four people have been detained in the case, three of whom are minors. The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation, nothing is known about the motives of the attackers.
