A Drone Flew To Lake Peipsi In Russia

It's six kilometers from the Estonian border.

A drone fell into Lake Peipsi on August 24. Estonian border guards tracked its flight near their border.

The ERR reports this.

The Estonian Police and Border Guard Board said that border guards recorded the drone flying over Lake Peipsi twice on the morning of August 24.

The first time an unknown aircraft was detected in the sky at 5:20 am. Border guards followed its flight until it disappeared from radar sight, heading towards Russia.

After an hour, the radar of the Mustvez border also detected a drone on the Russian side. The drone was tracked until it landed in the water on Russian territory about six kilometers from the Estonian-Russian border.

The Police Department noted that the drones did not take a course towards Estonia and it is unclear whether it was the same drone.
