Lukashenko Humiliates Himself Before The Heads Of The African Union

The dictator's invitations are ignored.

Congratulating the chairman of the African Union, President of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye, as well as leaders of other countries of the association on Africa Day, Lukashenka once again invited the union's delegation to visit Minsk to discuss promising areas of cooperation.

The text of the congratulatory message was published by the press service of the Belarusian dictator on May 25. In the address, Lukashenko also expressed hope for a personal meeting with Ndayishimiye to discuss topical issues, including the development of Belarusian-Burundian relations.

Similar invitations have been heard before. In 2025, Lukashenko congratulated President of Angola João Lourenço on Africa Day, and in 2024 - President of Mauritania Mohammed Ould Cheikh Al-Gazouani, who headed the African Union in the respective years.

In both cases, the Belarusian side also invited delegations of the association to visit Belarus, but these initiatives remained unanswered, recalls "Pozirk".

Today, the African Union consists of 55 member states. There are a total of 64 state entities on the African continent, including independent countries, dependent territories and self-proclaimed entities.
