Every month of the war is becoming more and more costly for the Russian Armed Forces.
As of October 29, the Russian army’s total combat casualties for the current month amount to 49,040 personnel.
As noted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this is already the highest monthly figure since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And there are still three days left until the end of October.
The previous highest figure was recorded back in December 2024—48,670 people.
The enemy’s average daily losses in October currently stand at about 1,750 personnel.
The Russian Federation’s military casualties are steadily rising: in February 2026—26,090 personnel; in September—46,230; and in October (as of October 29)—49,040.
“The rate of casualties exceeds the enemy’s ability to replenish its units. Every month of the war is costing the Russian Federation’s army more and more,” the General Staff noted.
