Russian dictator Vladimir Putin celebrated his birthday with former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
The service noted that on the morning of October 7, the Russian dictator allegedly learned from the media that Schröder was in Moscow.
“The president invited his old friend to his home,” the statement said.

The day before, media outlets reported that the former German chancellor was in Moscow on a working visit. Schröder held a meeting with the management and employees of the “Globus” retail chain. On October 2, it was announced that he had joined the retailer’s supervisory board.
Gerhard Schröder is an 82-year-old German statesman and politician. He served as Chancellor of Germany from 1998 to 2005.
While serving as chancellor, Schröder called dictator Putin an “impeccable democrat.” Putin himself called Schröder his friend and his preferred negotiator from the European Union in dialogue with Russia.
