The U.S. State Department Has Once Again Included Belarus On Its List Of Countries That Traffic In Persons

There are 12 countries on the list in total.

Belarus has once again been included among the countries (12 in total this time) where, according to the U.S. State Department, human trafficking is a problem, reports "Pozir".

As noted in the U.S. State Department’s 2025 report, released on October 8, these countries have “documented” policies or “systematic practices” related to human trafficking, including through state-funded programs, forced labor in state-affiliated medical facilities or other sectors, “sexual slavery in state-run camps, or the use or recruitment of child soldiers.”

In addition to Belarus, Washington included Afghanistan, Iran, Cambodia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Myanmar, Russia, Sudan, and South Sudan among the countries mentioned.

Compared to last year’s list, Myanmar and Russia have been added, while Syria and Eritrea have been removed.
