Axios Has Learned Of Trump's Instructions To Whitcoff And Kushner Regarding Ukraine

Talks between the U.S. president's special envoys and Ukrainian officials are taking place in Miami on October 9 and 10.

U.S. President’s Special Envoys Steve Whitcoff and Jared Kushner presented Donald Trump with the latest version of the U.S. proposal for resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the eve of talks with the Ukrainian delegation and received his instructions, according to Axios reports, citing U.S. officials.

Also participating in the conversation were Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Deputy National Security Advisor Mike Nidehm.

Negotiations with the Ukrainian side are taking place in Miami on October 9 and 10. Representing Ukraine are the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Kirill Budanov, the director of foreign intelligence Rustem Umerov, Diplomatic Advisor Serhiy Kislitsa, and Member of Parliament David Arakhamia.

At the meeting, the parties are discussing the possibility of a partial ceasefire. According to the Ukrainian side, they are ready to take this step. Similar issues were already discussed in July. In addition, the so-called “post-war prosperity plan” is on the agenda.

After Miami, Whitecoff and Kushner may travel to Moscow again for talks with Vladimir Putin.
