An agent could have accessed highly sensitive information.

The circumstances of the appearance of photos of the speaker of the so-called "coordination council" Anjelika Melnikova, who disappeared about a year ago with 150 thousand euros, suggest that she was constantly cooperating with the special services of Belarus. This was stated by retired Major Anna Grabowska-Sivets, a former ABW counterintelligence officer, noted "Belsat".

Last week, photos of Melnikova from a Minsk gym surfaced. Later, her father said in a conversation with journalists that his daughter has been in Belarus for about a year.

"This means that Lukashenko's regime does not treat her as an enemy. After all, if all the years that she was in Poland, she really acted against the regime, she would not be in gyms now, but behind bars. Lukashenko's regime detains her for more than that. As for the question whether she could have cooperated with the security services of Belarus in Poland - it seems to me that yes," said Grabowska-Sivets.

Grabowska-Sivets says that as an agent Melnikova could collect a wide variety of information, as she had great access to data on the Belarusian emigration in Poland:

"Everything that was available to her: about the areas of activity, people, contacts with institutions in Poland, about conspiratorial ties with persons in Belarus, supporting an independent movement in opposition to Lukashenko. This is very valuable information for the Belarusian security services, as it allows them to pursue their opponents in the country."

We recall that Speaker Angelika Melnikova disappeared along with 150 thousand euros allocated for the work of the "coordinating council" on March 25, 2025. Then investigative journalists reported about her contacts with Belarusian intelligence agents and trips to Cuba, Sri Lanka and the UAE. "Nasha Niva" called Anzhelika Melnikova "the person Pawel Latushko at the head of the "coordination council".
