The Shop Was Blown In Half: Consequences Of The Neptune Strike On The Drone Factory In Taganrog

Satellite showed new details of the destruction at Atlant Aero in Russian Federation.

Neptun missiles damaged four structures at the Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog, high-quality satellite photos of the area have shown. The Russians may have lost some of the capacity to produce Molniya strike drones and Orion reconnaissance drones that are harming Ukraine's armed forces, Focus wrote. What new details of the hit did the satellite show?"

The Vantor defense company has obtained new photos of the outskirts of Taganrog after the attacks on the night of April 19, according to the Telegram channel Exilenova+. The satellite showed that one building on the territory of Atlant Aero was completely destroyed and three others were seriously damaged. Local authorities have not yet been informed whether the company is capable of continuing to produce drones for the Russian army.

New data on the results of the Neptune strike appeared online on the morning of April 24. In the photo before impact, we see eight white structures in three rows (two have six structures each, one has two structures). After the impact in the second row on the left is a building with a black spot on the roof: we can talk about a direct hit and penetration of the roof. In addition, in the bottom row one building was completely demolished: instead of it there are two deformed parts separated by a failure. Analysts highlighted part of the objects in red (destruction), part in yellow (piles of debris).

Atlant Aero is a Russian company that produces Molniya attack and reconnaissance drones and components for Orion UAVs. The Defense Ministry's GSD found that the Russian Armed Forces receives Molniya-1 and Molniya-1 (aircraft-type FPV kamikaze) and Molniya-2R (reconnaissance) UAVs from the factory. At the same time, no country has imposed sanctions on the company, which directly works for the Russian military-industrial complex. RosSMI said that the company appeared in 2023 and specialized exclusively in the production of UAVs. Revenue in 2024 - 6.9 billion rubles, and in 2025 it grew eight times - to 57.8 billion rubles.

Explosions in the Russian Federation - what happened in Taganrog on April 19

The first reports of loud sounds and flashes appeared on the network around 4:45 on April 19. A series of photos and videos show footage of the fire in the Russian city. The governor of the Rostov region assured that a UAV attack had taken place and that all drones were allegedly shot down by Russian air defense assets. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the Ukrainian drone attack, but did not say a word about the possibility of a Neptune strike.

On April 20, Radio Liberty media published the first satellite photos of the strike on Atlant Aero, and OSINTers geolocated the footage published by the Russians. It turned out that it was burning in several places in Taganrog, among other things - on the territory of the specified enterprise of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation at the point with coordinates 47.20024, 38.88106. In order for the Neptune to reach its target, it had to fly about 200 kilometers from the front line, and Russian air defense did not prevent it.
