The scandalized rapper reacted harshly.
The European Union has imposed sanctions against Russian rapper and Putinist Timati (Timur Yunusov) because of his support for Russia's war against Ukraine.
It is reported in a document of the EU. Sanctions have been imposed against a number of other individuals.
The document notes that Timati supports Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, spreads Kremlin propaganda narratives and symbols of the so-called "SWO".
"The rapper stated that he is ready to fight against Ukraine and supports the occupation of Crimea, participated in propaganda events on the peninsula. On March 18, 2022, he spoke during a propaganda rally "For a world without Nazism! For Russia! For the President!" held at the Luzhniki Stadium.
Timati supported Vladimir Putin in the presidential election, participated in his election campaigns, and was a confidant of the Russian dictator.
"Thus, Timur Yunusov supports actions or policies that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, or stability or security in Ukraine," the document said.
Timati has already reacted to the EU sanctions on his instagram page.
"Unlike many officials, I do not have and never had real estate abroad and bank accounts in the EU. Therefore, I don't give a shit about the 20th package of sanctions...," he wrote.
